An Indian expat family met Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in an elevator on Saturday.Anas Rahman Junaid and his family met Sheikh Mohammed at Atlantis The Royal, and also clicked photos with the Dubai ruler, who turned 74 on July 15.“What are the odds of meeting @hhshkmohd in an elevator?? Such a down to Earth person. Sheikh Mohammed was born on July 15, 1949 and raised in the Al Maktoum family home in Shindagha on the banks of Dubai Creek. As the third son of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, he spent his childhood in a large courtyard house, which stands today as a historical landmark, alongside his brothers.Sheikh Mohammed is known for his futuristic vision, which helped transform Dubai into what is today, and is also known for his many initiatives along with his people-centric approach.Beyond his contributions to Dubai’s growth, Sheikh Mohammed is a prominent advocate for social development and humanitarian causes.He has established numerous charitable organisations, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, which focuses on education and knowledge initiatives, and the Dubai Cares campaign, dedicated to improving access to quality education in disadvantaged communities worldwide.Dubai, under the ruler’s leadership, continues to grow to position itself as a global hub.
